1919 Cargo Steamer

I've been modeling this Ship during the Writers and Actors strike in Hollywood , trying to keep my mind occupied and studying drawing on my tablet.

This ship brings me memories of King Kong, Indiana Jones, TinTin and adventure movies , it was based on the SS. Alamosa built in 1919 , modeled in Maya and with the Boss ocean system, the hull was painted in Mudbox with three 8K UDIMs, the rest of the textures were painted in Photoshop.
The canvases and deck mooring ropes were simulated in Marvelous Designer.
Researching all the naval details took a lot longer than modeling and texturing.
